Hi, my name is Irina and I live in London, with my beautiful family and 3 guinea pigs.
I’m madly passionate about food, real food. Food has to be healthy, delicious and relatively simple to prepare. I am not a naturopath/nutritionist/doctor, I have however, been cooking for myself, friends and family for over 25 years. Listening to my body has taught me what foods to eat and how to stay healthy and vibrant.
I like to take existing techniques and make them really simple and easy to fit into your daily life. I believe that health comes from within and that food plays a huge role in this. I want to get people back into the kitchen, talking food and being excited about caring for their health.
I have two children (6 and 10 years old) who are some of my best food critics, often refusing some new recipe I’ve dreamed up. Its not easy to feed them healthy food all the time, so I don’t. However, they have firm favourites like ginger beer, kefir smoothies, sourdough bread and sourdough pancakes, to name a few. These staples give our family a solid and healthful base. I want to share recipes with you, that are simple and easy to prepare but pack a punch in terms of health benefits. Recipes which the whole family enjoys, and hopefully will help you replace some less healthy options.
Fermented food plays a big role in my food philosophy as I believe that beneficial bacteria have a big positive influence not just on our body but our mind as well. Hey and fermenting is also a lot of fun!
